See the big picture: How to identify, investigate and prevent Workplace Harassment
In today’s workplace managers must know not only the law regarding harassment, but also how to spot, investigate, respond to, report, and prevent workplace harassment of all types. Do you have effective, fair and concise policies on harassment triggers, such as social media and technology in the workplace, religious and ethnic stereotypes, gender expression, political speech as well as sexual harassment? Are your supervisors trained to spot potential problems and promote civility in your workplace? Are your employees prepared to report harassment? Is your company ready for the cultural change to a more open and aggressive approach to harassment? While only 70% of employees who experienced harassment talked to their supervisor in 2016, the average number of visits to the EEOC sexual harassment website has more than doubled in the last four months.
